I enjoyed the Nassau, Bahamas Hard Rock Café. In fact, I couldn't resist putting it into a scene in the "Penumbra Database" spy thriller. A young CIA operative was kidnapped out of the place in a very imaginative manner and Corey Pearson is sent to Nassau to find out what happened to him. Here's a paragraph from the novel:
CBIF Safe House, Key Largo, FL
General
Morrison remained patient as Corey assimilated the bad news and persisted with his
questioning.
“A Haitian FRAPH member at the Hard Rock
Café in Nassau…it’s hard to believe Duane Collier could be kidnapped! He knew how
to use the backup system and the protocol to follow. It would’ve been impossible
for him to leave the club with this Haitian FRAPH killer… Bolan Tougas. There would…or
should…have been agents outside the club in communication with the ones inside,
who should have had concealed cameras. Collier was a case officer… that I personally
trained!”
The Deputy Director of CBIF slowly pushed
a sealed manila packet across the desk. The label read CBIF New Providence-7: Operation Coral Reef,
Top Secret. That’s why I’m sending you there…to find out the answers
to those questions. I have your replacement for CBIF Jamaica-7. As we speak, he’s
landing in Montego Bay. You’re going to Nassau… immediately.”
